HEALTHY FUTURE

OUR
MISSION

WE CALL EDMONTON 'YEG'

The 2024 Winter Cycling Congress will descend on Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from February 22nd to 24th using the organizing theme of A Bridge To A Healthy Future.

Edmonton is a winter city in the subarctic, and will be the stunning, snowy backdrop to allow us to explore the ingredients of winter cycling and being a healthy city. Come here to connect with international and local experts and enthusiasts, to learn about policies, best practices and research that supports year round well-being in cities and communities.

If you don’t know Edmonton, which the locals refer to by its airport code, 'YEG', we'd like to show you how deeply friendly we all are, how we embrace our winter, strive for wellbeing, and are building a healthy and sustainable future.

Edmonton is winter. We are active. We are home to one of the world's largest urban parks that serves as a cycling superhighway known colloquially as the River Valley. We are a gateway to the Canadian Rockies. We can’t wait to welcome you – and your bike!

The Winter Cycling Federation together with the Edmonton Winter Cycling Congress Planning Committee is hosting the 2024 Winter Cycling Congress.
